I once sold a tractor on e-bay to a guy in Michigan. It was on his wife's account. Next thing is she e-mailed me and said he thougt the ad read "Southern Ohio" not Southern Oregon. I e-mailed her back and said in reality, your husband now owns a tractor in Oregon. I finally "settled" for the cost of the ad and the cost of listing the tractor again. I also would not leave positive feedback, so I gave her neutral feedback. A little mistake like not reading all of the ad can cost you a lot of money. In your case, whether or not the shipping charges are inflated, you got off pretty lucky in my estimation.
