Just a wild thought. FMD's, Power Majors and Super Majors all have an internal leakoff pipe from the injectors. As the problem came on suddenly and as you don't use the tractor too much, could it be that the oil is being diluted with diesel. I was a Fordson mechanic when these tractors were in common use and had this problem a number of times. We always carried a spare leak off pipe in the service box
