Fordson Oil Pressure

I have a Fordson Power Major that recently has lost oil pressure after running for about 45-60 min. Cold the pressure is about 40 lbs, but drops to 20 lbs after warmup at working rpms. If you idle the engine the pressure drops to 5-7 lbs. This problem seems to have started rather quickly this spring, so I really wonder if the engine is worn to the point that it needs a rebuild. Can a defective or plugged oil pump act this way? Any help out there?
