I drove by that house as my wife works about 2 blocks from there. Quite a site. One of my co workers almost bought that house when it was on the market about 3 years ago. I live northwest of Springfield and when I bought my place I went down to Planing and Zoneing and they had a map of Greene Co that showed all the sink holes that they know about and it was an eye opener. About 25 within a mile or two of my house. Most people around here just use them to dump their old meth labs into. Couldn't be any harm in that.

There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard.
