Where ya at? What kind of soil? What are you planning to plant??(alfalfa grass clover mix) I'd plow to get rid of those stalks. I like a clean field(I had some problems with left over straw on one field). Plow, disk, cultipack... Some broadcast, I drill though last couple of fields I took the tubes off so it would just fall to the ground. I have drug a log chain behind to cover, and then I haven't. Couldn't tell much difference. Might be getting late for alfalfa depnding on your area. Tell us more...
