Sounds like a Haybuster stacker. I saw several of them being used when we were out there in July. I had forgotten about them until then. The end of the conveyer is an arm that has a roller on it. The arm is controlled by a hydralic cylinder. The cage is rotating and as the hay builds up to the arm and roller they pack the hay down to make a tight stack. Works good in Western Nebraska where they can store hay outside, but would be a failure in Iowa because shedding the stacks would be expensive. And that is about all I know about them.
