With all that we did to the 350 it brought the fuel milage up and for her day getting 5.5 to 5.8 was GOOD when one was haulen 35-45 ton in the wagon and working over here in the humps and bumps . So i don't know why you have a problem with them as most of us around here has had them do one thing or other and between my two buddys and i i would have to say that we went all the way on ours with the built charges the injectors and pump work heads maifolds and cam timing and i dove mine hard . And what i liked about Bruce is that you could watch him work and he showed me how to keep it that way with his way of setting valves and injectors and that was what i did every 50000 she would get the overhead run . Now i have run the NEW high horse trucks as i was running a 550 Cat that had the BOX on it that made it to what they claimed 740 and i can tell ya this with the same weight on it as what i hauled with mine over the same roads that the 350 would have eaten it alive , and yes it do a littel better on fuel at 6.2 but was 10-15 MPH up the same hills with the same weight slower.
