Darned if I know. They told me that the cab had been off of it when they overhauled the rear end. I just assumed that they forgot to put the seal back in or that maybe it was tore up so bad that it just wasn't worth the effort. This tractor is gonna cost me money tho. After driving this one, I realize I was right about that dam*ed 966. It has a "howl" in the rear end that I can hear at certain speeds; this one is quiet as a mouse. So, 'spose the 966 has to go to the shop this winter. I just don't have the tools, jacks, hoists and so forth to be diggin' around with a ring gear/pinion. Never ends, does it? :>( Allan
