Since we"re off topic and on Remington shotguns, perhaps somebody out there knows the answer to this: Will the butt stock from a Remington 870 12-gauge fit a 16-gauge 870 Wingmaster shotgun? (And is there a difference between the stocks on the Wingmaster and the Express?) My uncle gave me the gun years ago but I haven"t used it much because it doesn"t fit well -- he sawed a couple of inches off the buttstock because he has short arms. I have the exact opposite problem: longer-than-average arms, and I"d like to get a replacement stock for it (walnut to match the original) so I could be comfortable using it (and be able to hit the broad side of a barn, as I tend to overshoot with it). Around here, 16-gauge shotguns are not all that common, and I wonder if the receiver will accept the stock from a 12-gauge. Thanks for any light you can shed on this matter. -- Maine Fordson
