Back in the 40's on our farm in Central Kansas, the F-20 pulled 3 16" and the F-30 pulled 4 16", 4th gear on the F-20 was about 6 mph and could be use for some field work, the F-30 4th gear was about 15 mph so field work was all in 3rd. I remember the dealer in Inman always trying to get my Dad to trade the F-30 for a M. He was told when he brought a M out and hooked up to the 4 bottom and pulled it he had sold a M. Dad finally bought a W-9. Back then the thing just oozed power, When I thoughtI was out of sight I would plow in 4th, that was plowing. hope you all can bear the memories. Jim
