OK, details.
1)It is off at the idler to the inside(I was backing up to the left).
2)It is the right track. It is on a slope ( about 1 foot higher on the left side).
3)It sits on dry clay, at least it was dry yesterday (the first time I've hoped for no rain;) ). Thanks to all for your help
