re:Ford 6000 motor oil leak,HELP

I have an oil leak I need help.This is a 6 cyl.diesel engine.There is a round plate on the side of the motor block about 2 1/2 inches in diameter this plate is leaking oil.There are 2 oil lines that take the oil from the motor block to the oil filter then back to the motor.the plate has 1 large bolt in the center of it.Also to make things more interesting the frame rail is kinda close.what is behind this plate?HELP!
