Getting a radiator shop to SOLDER a gas tank didn't used to be a problem, and is the BEST fix. I have had tanks repaired where they soldered a nice copper patch over the damaged area, making a GREAT permanent repair. Since it is getting tough to find a shop that will still do that, for liability reasons, I solder them myself, rest assured, in a SAFE manner, which, I guess I'd better NOT explain here, for liability reasons. Solder is BY FAR a more permanent fix than "goo pucky" from the auto supply store. Don't blow yourself up, and blame me, though!!!
