I would be sure to rinse, brush off with a soft brush, the metal debris. If you just go at it with a rag and cleaner, you can scratch the glass up longterm. The welding can pit the glass and ruin it. My friend does ALOT of body work and goes through alot of cardboard to tape up the windows, because welding can ruin them in a heartbeat. Why are you welding so close to a window?
