foil faced vapor barrier under metal roof

Hello Everyone, I am currently building my pole building,
and have a little conflict of opinions
concerning the foil vapor barrier.
The building came as a package.
A vapor barrier was supplied as part of
the roofing materials. It is white on
one side and has a foil face on the other.
The company says I should install it with
the foil side facing the metal. It should
be pulled tight across the purlins, then
temporarily stapled in place. The steel
will lay directly on it. Out of curiosity I searched the web for
information about the installation and
found a variety of ways which conflict
with the company's approach. Some information
leads one to believe the foil should face
down into the building. Some installations
have the stuff being draped over the purlins
so that it sags a bit to create an air space.
Most say the direction of the foil does not matter, but that by turning it down, towards the
inside of the building, it will not get dirty.
Since, once it gets dirty, it will no longer
function as a radiant insulation. At this time, I intend to just leave this building
uninsulated. So, this barrier is intended to
keep the metal from sweating and dripping. If there is anyone out there with any good
