Oliver 770 Power boost problem

The Power booster (OK, torque amplifier for you red guys) will go into low range but kicks into neutral if you put any power to it. It will drive in low but will kick into neutral often. My question is: Is there anything I can do short of pulling the engine to get at this thing. Thought someone might know a simpler solution to my problem. thanks. Dan Johnson
