Your old JD "R" does not have a 3 point hitch. Non of the tractors like that did. It was built to pull heavy (for it's time) drawbar loads. It probably DOES have remote hydraulics, ie the ability to operate a remote cylinder, Anyone who thinks his tractor needs a 3 point isn't looking for a JD R, but sounds like he might be looking to "sharp" someone out of her tractor for less money than it's worth.
