jetco ether bottles

Having a hard time finding Jetco ether bottles. Case 580b starts several times a day and cold weather it needs some starting fluid. This is the first year I couldn't find any. Should I convert to the other type or small cans? Couldn't propane be used? Saw a post a while back about someone having a noise in the rearend of a 580. We had to replace the ring and pinion on ours, $3000 later and OK.
