Thanks so much for the information. When I obtained this tractor, I mailed for a service manual from IH. It's dated 1971, which must be a reprint, and it only shows the Zenith and Marvel carbs. You may be right then, that a Carter could have been used as one of the original carbs. I wonder why my manual doesn't show it? Can anyone post or e-mail me some pictures of the carter carb(s)from their manuals? It may be handy to have photos of the insides before I tear this one apart. Thanks again, you and Mike have cleared up some of the questions I've had.
