That happened to my 1993 Escort a few years back. 65 mph down the Interstate and it just died. Called the towtruck, he pulled the oil cap and had me crank the engine while he looked for movement in the head. He was right, it was the timing belt. A quick tow to his shop and $200 later and I was on my way.
