I'm not a red fan but been around them plenty and the
Magnum was virtually bullet proof. You indeed had a
rare one. I spent some years at a good CaseIH dealer
and only saw one magnum with tranny trouble and it
had almost 8,000 hours on it. Many out there with much
more.
