Back in the day....20+ years ago on an off-shore drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico, 44 hours at one time and 144 hours for the week, there are only 168 hours in a week, so we didn't sleep much... I have pulled 24 hr shifts at present job twice in 14 years and several 18 hours and have to be back in 6 hours, but this is NOT physical work. Two weeks ago, narrowly missed a 24 hr shift and got called in for night shift this past Monday at 3:pm, had been working around the yard all day, no nap, but I made a good one, driving 50 miles home was hard though.
