hydraulic doo-dad

friends father has a eary farmall h with a home made 3pt hitch, uses 2 cylinders hooked to the belly pump set up as one way. has a back blade on it, pretty heavy one. when he lowers the blade, it drops Fast! he asked me if i can get him a restrictor that goes in the hydraulic line that gives full pressure on lift but restricts the return of fluid. he remembers something that screwed in the output lines at the pump. i gave him a spool valve and hoses so he could hook up a 2 way, but he dont want that...set in his ways i guess. anybody ever heard of one of these?
