I was a forestry student at Purdue, and work for a park system in Indiana. My dad also works for the DNR. The advise I hear and was taught. Plant new trees now for more than likely your trees will be killed. If you contact your local DNR they can supply you with information about the insect. Here is a link that should give you some info. One of the biggest causes of the insects spread is people hauling fire wood.
