Thanks to all you folks in my tractor quest. Been reading and posting numerous threads here on YDT for quite a while. After lookin' at countless ads and researching various tractors I stumbled across a 43 Case VAI that was just too good a deal to pass up.
A friend and I brought her home today. She doesn't want to start with the starter button, but after pullin' here around with his JD, she finally sputtered and coughed and finally came to life. I was grinnin' from ear to ear. She's not perfect, but for less than five hundred bucks I couldn't pass it up. Tin is good, very little rust, no cracks or welds, but the rear's are on their last leg, carb leaks like a sieve, brakes are weak, battery/starter weak, but she's turns over and runs with a pull. So back to the Case forum I go and let the fun begin. Thanks, DP
