Hi jc, Without running alot of hard numbers, can it be used ? Yes Will it be cost effective? Nope and won't even come close to a generator running a AC unit in most cases. Home made biodiesel might come close to fuel cost of a generator/AC but would depend on how many parts you need to buy to make the TK workable for AC use. Do you have well/stream water avialable? A small circulating pump thru a AC coil along with a forced air fan will produce AC like air for a cheap cost, that is as cheap as AC costs. Another is freeze blocks of ice at another location to add to a chilled water tank, then use the above to achieve cooling. A Ice water bath is a constant 32ºF. T_Bone
