Vet said we had caught it early enough and they are gonna shoot 'em twice a day with penicillin and feed 'em a ration of oral antibiotics in their feed. Says they’ll be ready to come home on Friday.

Trouble with that damned distemper, it will live in the ground just like black leg and I don't wanna be hauling it home, so I’m gonna make the Vet keep the critters for at least another week minimum.

That's what happens with these horses running wild up there in that country. Nobody tends to 'em.
