HI Again, and many thanks to all who responded here or by E mail. I have taken the plunge and got a used lathe than just happened to be available at a place I delivered to today. I already got the bushings from the local bearing house, and pin stock from the local steel guy, and its time for another adventure in machining. I took machine shop in college only 20 years ago, and I still can read, so, here's hoping I can figure it out..... I am still trying to figure out who might be the local generic bulldozer track/pin bushing supplier here near Albany NY. At least now when I spend the $500, I have more than two round holes to be proud of... Now if this was for a machine I was using everyday making money with , I'm sure I'd be heading off to the bucket specialist... But for a home machine, I think I'll see how good I can mess it up first... :-) I Know I can mess it up better than the last guy did!
