Do Florida residents get free college?.

Do Florida residents get to go to college for free or is this just a myth?. I live in Vermont, and this is just something my mother heard, so I am looking into it. I did a couple searches on Google and I am not finding anything. What she had heard is I would have to move down there and live for 6 months and then I could go for free. Sounds almost too good to be true, but I am looking into it, she said she had also heard of one or two other states that offered the same thing. Anybody live in Florida that can confirm this either way?.
