I think I know what they may do to you. I had a catastrophic snowmobile accident about 8 years ago that left me over 1" shorter. What they did to me among many different exercises was put my upper body in a harness that lifted almost all the weight off my feet and had me walk on a treadmill for 10 minutes, built up to 20 and then 30. I had to do this for about 3 months to get back on my feet and walking again. It was scary times in my life. A few seconds of stupidity can cost you greatly for the rest of your life. I have recovered very well but I still have pain if I overexert myself, have always been very active so this is always a struggle for me to slow down. It is harder for me to stand straight, I have to be aware of it and always be trying to stand straight because my back geometery is different now. I also used to be a very fast runner and sprinter and that has been something that I have lost. I can still run but it is much more of an effort. Now I am careful and protect my back like it is solid gold because I know how important good back health is and how detrimental it can be to you if it is bad.
