DJL; If you want any noise at all leave the muffler off and just use the cat. convertor and a tail pipe. Doing this you will get some noise, but not the cackel. Most of the newer trucks that you hear today on the road with loud pipes are done this way. If you want the cackel then you will need to take the cat convertor off and install some sort of glass pack type muller. A 2" tail pipe will give you a good amount of cackel with this set up. I always wanted a true straight pipe sound so a few years ago I installed headers and straight pipes (no mufflers or Cat) on a 84 chevy. This things sounds AWESOME, but man you realy need to watch how you drive to not get into trouble. BUDD
