I'm new to this forum and in search of some help. I've been doing some research but having trouble finding what I need. My husband and I have 24 acres and an approximate 300 ft driveway (most of which is uphill). We are presently looking for a larger tractor to help with snow removal and can't afford much. We have recently come across a 1955 Case tractor for $800. The farmer who had it has passed away and his daughter just wants to get rid of. She tells me it has a blade and does have hydraulics (not sure what she means). She didn't mention a PTO - is this the same thing? My questions are these: I need help on what to look for when we go to look at it. I need to know if it will handle snow - and take a blower. I need to know if it will cut hay, move dirt and gravel. We know very little about tractors and would like to know what to look for. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! J.
