Connecting to the tee to the rams would not work.That would only make it work when the rams work.
If you install a diverter valve the bucket should stay up or down when switched to the driver.
An open center valve with a power beyond port could be installed in series with the existing valve. I has to be before the existing valve. A power beyond valve will have 5 ports. Inlet, up, down, power beyond, and tank. The power beyond supplies pressure to the existing valve.
