well carson...now you're asking me what "i'd" do, but that might be different than what you want. but since you asked for my thoughts on the subject, here you go: first of all i'm on a limited budget when it comes to my "hobbies", so the first thing i would think about as far as where to put my money would be into making sure i have all the mechanics working and right and safely, and all the right parts. a pretty tractor that doesn't work well is just an ornament, and i like to have my machinery work well for me. i hate breaking down in the middle of a job. second, i use my tractors for work. so i sure don't want to put a whole lot of money into a "showroom" paint job just to take it out and get it all scratched and torn up bush-hoggin' briars and small trees. personally i'd go with the rustolem red rust primer and a good quality enamal paint. i might even go as far as putting a hardner in the second color coat so it wouldn't be "green" so long, but i don't know. either way i wouldn't be dumping a whole lotta money into a paint job not many people are ever gonna see without scuffs and scratches. i'm sure you'll get varying opinions from alot of the guys on this forum about my choices of paints, but you did ask me what i would do, and that's it. when i comes to paint, i don't have any expertise, but i've used this paint combo on several thigs i've painted and have had pretty good results. good enuf for me anyway. but the bottom line is, you're the only one the knows what you want to use your tractor for and how much you have, and are willing to spend on it. i'd get several ideas and opinions if i were you, and then decide which one fits you best. i hope this helps you decide what you want to do. get that little A workin' bud... -mike

Now, as with the other articles in this series one has to be able to hear what 'ole blue' is trying to say in response. The nice thing about our old iron friends is that they are usually quite consistent in their response, rather unlike some people I know who might change what they say due to the weather or other mitigating circumstances. But since t
