That is an interesting bridge indeed, been there several times. Have you been up to Rio Hondo where the bridge that lifts straight up is yet? I recall several in Florida like it, but this one isn't used as often as those were. How about the hand pull ferry on up the Rio Grande, been there yet? It's near the town of Los Ebanos which is north of the McAllen and Mission area by about 25 miles or so on the way toward Zapata. You can park and watch them pull it across, or you can pay a small fee and either ride it or put your car on it and go over to the Mexico side. Unfortunatly there isn't anything to see at that crossing other than a dirt road, but it's still fun to see those guys pulling cars across the river by manpower. If you go, don't forget the camera! BTW, I live in LaFeria and work in San Benito. Be sure and wave as you pass by.....that is if your on land and not in the air!
