Don't know about Ford or Dodge, but Chevy and GMC offers a 1-ton with single rears - not duals. They did this for years.

Don't know the tire size, but since my 3/4 ton uses 245-75R-16 load range "E" tires, I suspect that 1-tons used maybe the next size larger?
