Power steering pump or power steering gearbox? If it's the gearbox, that's a fairly common problem. There's a pressed in "freeze plug" at the bottom of the steering shaft that often seems to get a hole in it or pushed out of its seat. Hafta take the gearbox off to fix it, but the fix is a simple $2 fix.
