Harley--the bolt is right behind your proofmeter. If you remove the bolt you should see that it provides an opening into your steering box. What I did on my 51N was removed the bolt, and added a grease fitting where the bolt is. Use the JD Corn head grease and you will be able to adequately reach everything that needs to be greased. My early 1949 8N had a 1/4" NPT plug on the right side of the steering box. I added a grease zirk there as well. On both of the tractors, NO OIL at all came out of the bolt hole when it was removed. After adding the grease, you should have a noticeable difference in the way your tractor steers. Tim
