Dodge has 3 year contracts that are renewed at the option of Dodge. Face it, Dodge has spent a lot of time and money building up the prestige of having the Cummins engine under the hood. I don't think they're inclined to GIVE all customer loyalty to another manufacturer. Think of it, Every Dodge with a Cummins has the Cummmins name in chrome letters on the side of the truck. Most people don't even know that Ford buys their engines from International until the Ford mechanic blames any and all problems they encounter on Navistar.
