Just curious - Why a "row crop" front? I am assuming you mean a "tricycle" configuration. If you don't farm acreage of crops, these can impractical, not to mention dangerous! Tip over much too easily! I don't think you HAVE to have "live" pto for posthole digger. Just put tranny in neutral, engage the PTO, and release the clutch. It is MUCH easier with it, however. I would look at something that came from the factory with a 3 point, such as the "hundred series" Fords, older Case, IH, or Massey. Most of these had "live" PTO and from 35 to 50 hp. No aftemarket hitched required. Good Luck! Tommy D.
