Lots of land for sale here in Baker County FL since the timber companies sold out. I would rather a dirt farmer got some of it than a land developer! We are really southern GA as our brethren further down state say. Prices range from $3K-10K per acre depending on where you buy. Macclenny is county seat and the county is aggressively pursuing building restrictions to retain the small town charm of the area. I live in Sanderson and as I am Sr. Mgmt for IT I commute to Jacksonville (Jax). Land in Jax is spendy but it depends on what you want - acreage or lot. I would really like to work in Lake City but no luck so far.
