A 100 mile check will give the same results.I did a check on my f150 5.4 v8 4wd. Kept it 45 to 50 mph for 50 miles then 55mph for 50 miles on the interstate.About 5 miles was city driving.Got 19.3 mpg.Auto transmission shifts into overdrive at 45 mph.A friend has a 94 ranger 4cyl.He complains about poor gas milage.Took him to the garage to pick up his truck.I had to run 65 mph to keep up with him on the way home.Amazed to see the leadfoots on the road with gas at 2.90 per gallon.
