Now, This is just my opinion, so don't all you fellas jump on me at the same time; don't draw and quarter me. It's just my opinion. :>) However, if a guy spends any amount of time around those 4020s, the "emotion" wears off real quick. They weren't all that hot when they were brand spankin' new. A fairly cheap priced tractor that was more or less reliable. Sure wouldn't trade my little H for one tho and that be the truth of the matter from this hill. Now, talk 5020 and it's a whole 'nother story. Allan

Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for £200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
