Having just spent over $100 on new wiring harness from England, regulator and bits, I have meticously rewired this tractor, following the original manual and triple checking each wire to the right connection. Tractor starts fine, but ammeter (original) twitches and then dives deep into DIS, which means I am discharging, right? The wire to the ammeter does not connect to two terminals, but goes through a loop which reads the current I guess. If I run the wire the other way through the loop will it show CHG, or doesn't this matter? Any other thoughts - your help greatly appreciated, thank you.
