Like Paul said, look in area I marked in red on your photo, model number will be up top, serial number below, probably an 850 or 860, or later 851, 861.

If there are <> before and after the serial number or model I forget maybe model number, it will mean that the block is sleeved if I am not mistaken, and if that is the original motor, which is probably likely.

I'd check to see if that 172 cu. in 4 cyl. is not stuck, with the plug out of it and the muffler off, moisture could have gotten in there, seized up a cylinder or a valve or something, mouse nest and other fun things to clean up. Hard to say until you start workin on it, I'd try to get it into a place with a roof over you, this one may take some extensive work to get running.

You'd do yourself a huge favor to get the corresponding Ford shop manual and Parts manual for it, Faxon Auto literature offers reprints of the originals and they are very helpful. There are a lot of parts available for these out there.

Just by the photos, you have your work ahead of you, but don't be discouraged, see if the motor is stuck, and if the clutch is stuck if not, then start draining and flushing the compartments, rear end, hydraulics, motor, cooling system, fuel tank etc., then you will need to clean that carb, coil, ignition parts, check that distributor I see no cap on there just a dust cover, that could be seized as well, this looks like one that might need a total disassembly, you never know, but boy the elements are hard on them. Steering gear box, might need to re-lube that as well. Your loader is run off the tractor hydraulics it appears, you will need to deal with the cylinders and hoses on that.

You also might want to check the block for any cracks, hope it had antifreeze in it. I could go on, and on here, also post on the Ford board. I'm hoping it does not turn out to be a parts tractor, these are great utility tractors and not too complicated to work on. If it's an 860 it will have live pto and a 2 stage clutch, the five speed is nice, but hopefully not worn or has any issues, parts for those are getting obsolete.

Serial Number is in the red box area, use care when cleaning it off, it's hand stamped and the only way to identify the tractor, don't take an angle grinder to it, might use a pick to clean out the numbers, and a non abrasive method to remove the rust.
