Barb, you say you don't know much about tractors and you mostly want to use the tractor to mow. By all means, get a tractor with live hydraulics and live PTO. Not only are they safer, although you can use an override clutch, they are so much more fun to operate. Drive what ever you are looking at, and don't take the first one that comes along. I like the Deere's, but that hand clutch can get you in trouble. I also like wide front ends. They are much more stable. What ever you get, enjoy. Moye
