Best advice I ever got on plowing newly cleared ground was to buy all the old 2 bottom JD tag-along plows I could find for $50 each; use a breakaway hitch on the plow tongue; and have breakaway couplings on the hydraulics. Plow until you break the plow, then go hook up another. I found and bought 3. Broke one, parked it; broke another, but could fix it with parts from #1. Still have 2. With rocks and roots, all the more reason to do it with expendable plows.
