The shaded numbers on the right are tenths of an hour. Not sure why they put them there, but if they said 21000 and the last number was shaded then it was 2100 hours. Hours on a diesel are not as bad as hours on a gas. We have tractors with 6000 to 10,000 hours and have never been appart. Don't know anything about Fords, though. Some engines have little quirks that need attention appart from the fuel burned and care taken by the owners. Aaron
