A 285 is kind of big for what he needs. MF made several turf model tractors with low center of gravity. Ford also made a bunch of LCG models. If you can find an MF 20,2135 or 135 they will have a direct injection diesel which is a better starter than the indirect injection models. They also have a better 3 pt. hitch. Even if you can't find a turf model, you can put the wheels pretty wide. Dave
