With the late season rains we've been getting(after the worst drought in years) here in east Ky, I've been thinking about cutting some late season hay (really late for here). Besides having trouble getting it cured out, will frost hurt it? Will it hurt next years growth? All it is is a mix of Ky 31 fescue, clover, and maybe a little orchard grass. Were not talking a lot of hay, about six or seven acres, probably about 50 to 100 small square bales. Some might say it wouldn't be worth it but my second cutting of the same field was only 139 bales, normally I get 350 to 400. Plus it's selling from anywhere from 2 to 3 dollars bale here, so I think it would pay me to. What do you guys think? Thanks Casey
